![]() He doesn’t get why I hate it and will refer to strenuous higher altitude hikes I’ve done in the past, but they’re not comparable at all to me. Unfortunately my boyfriend has started taking me on “more difficult hikes” and they all include portions where I have to essentially climb part of a mountain or run across angled rocks or carefully step to ensure I don’t fall into various deep holes/other jagged rocks directly underneath. I enjoy hiking, or at least I thought I did when I thought it just involved trekking uphill for extended periods of time & great vistas. Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I’m looking for ways to assess how “dangerous” a rock scrambling portion of a hike is beforehand.
